It was in London whilst working as a Graphic Designer where Capetonian Josh Hayman first picked up a camera. Living with two aspiring photographers, he was encouraged to challenge himself to develop technically and creatively. One day, his housemate came home with a video camera and, after a day of shooting, he was hooked.
As a Director, Josh creates cinematic, emotive pieces that connect and stay with the viewer. His passion for music and intimate storytelling make his work memorable and captivating.
Having worked in advertising, Josh brings brand understanding and creative direction to each project. With experience as a DP and editor he understands how to shoot intently with the edit in mind. This has also equipped him to improvise, adapt and embrace the unexpected.
Josh is determined, yet easy-going and fun on set. He’s only recently discovered the wonders of coffee and finds it incredibly difficult to choose between cats and dogs.
